Google never ceases to amaze. Just when you thought there wasn't much left that could possibly be searched for after they started indexing all the books in the public domain from the libararies of the University of California, Harvard, Stanford, University of Michigan, University of Oxford, and the New York Public Library, they come out with a Google News Archive Search that allows you to search through 200 years of news!
Doing a search for "microsoft ibm", you'll see recent news like Antitrust trial to focus now on Microsoft-IBM rift. But click the Before 1990 link on the left, and you'll find dandy's like this: IBM, Microsoft Shipping New Software. Ahhh, the good ol' days when everyone got along.

Why American Car Companies are Flailing
I'll sum it up really quick for you:
At a Toyota Meeting
"Lets use our brains and make the most fuel efficent engine on the market." Years later... "Ok, we've got an engine that runs on electricity and gasoline and it uses the wasted energy that usually goes into the brakes to recharge the batteries."
At a General Motors (GM) Meeting

"I've got it! We probably can't make our trucks any bigger, and our cars are great as is, but get a load of this [a Chevy Avalanche lights up on the presentation screen] ... I call it a 'Cruck', half car, half truck."
At a DaimlerChrysler Meeting
"Why don't we take our kick ass 6.1L 425 Horsepower HEMI and stick it in a frikin' station wagon! How kick ass would that be?!."
Guy Kawasaki cracks a good sarcastic remark about how GM deals with high gas prices compared to how Toyota does.
